This is my second tower from Tarmac Designs. My husband actually bought me the original Indianapolis tower last year for my birthday. It looks just like Tampa only shorter. I loved that but was so happy when I found out they made Tampa. I got it both in 400 and 200. The reason for four stars instead of five is I'm slightly disappointed in the 400 scale. There's no railing. There is on Indianapolis so if they can do it on that they can do it again for Tampa. Also the Indianapolis tower has a semi transparent windows. Both Tampa towers are all black. The big 200 would have looked great with semi transparent. It at least has a railing. Not sure what the white part is on one side. I don't think we have that either but not totally sure. Other than that I'm very happy with the quality, the shipping and the stands. I will be back for more. Hope you guys put out more classic towers like Miami and Orlando and Charlotte.
There is actually something wrong with that TPA tower in 1:400. It should have the rail. Let me review that and I will get you a replacement. TPA is a newer one we added during prep for this years Airliners International show, so that just fell through the cracks. Not an excuse, but just likely what happened.
With the windows, we generally go black as that is how most towers 'look'. We go with the clearish colors at times (like when the color of the cab it self is black). We are limitied in the colors we can use, but try to do the best we can to represent the prototype. We also take feedback into account and improve our models over time.
Thank you for your detaild feedback!
