Awesome product!!

Tower is really nice, pretty much the same as my local home airport tower. Good quality and attention to detail. A little bigger than I thought but will work for my diorama.

Jet bridges are good quality with attention to detail. Overall great product.

I have purchased several control towers from Tarmac. They are a work of art, the attention to detail is amazing. I was blown away by design of the San Francisco tower. Highly recommend these buildings representation specially if you’re into collecting airplane. You won’t be disappointed.

Great piece. Makes my 1:200 airliners from Gemini and InFlight look right at home. And the tower itself is more intricate and interesting than most control towers due to the three levels of inhabited spaces. My only caution is that the three sections that the tower comes in can be oriented with either side to the front or back (nothing keys the direction), so anyone buying it should refer to the photo to get the correct alignment. I had the bottom section on mine backwards for a few days!

Great model of ATC tower -- comparing to photos of real tower, looks like exact copy. Like it so much, that I have now ordered another control tower, this one being JFK. Looking forward to seeing it soon. And the 1:200 scale matches my commercial airline plane models.

Bought this terminal as it was only one sided. Very impressed with the level of detail. Comes in three separate sections which are numbered on the bottom of each for easy identification. Walls are white, windows black with white braces and the roof is a light gray.

The air bridges come in their own separate box and fit into locations molded into the terminal. As part of the kit you also get a double bride extension (see the far right in the images).

There was only one minor imperfection (see image 3) but that can be taken care of with some white paint and a thin paint brush. There was almost no clean-up at all. Very nicely printed.

The spacing between the bridges will make it difficult to fit in today's modern jumbos, but I don't believe that the prototype Terminal 8 does either. I plan to get around that by purchasing bridge extenders from the site.

This is a wonderful kit and is ready to go as is with about five minutes of assembly (attaching the air bridges). I plan to build a larger 4' X 8" model airport using LAX Terminals 1 and 7 and I know, based on this model, they will look great.

The tower is AWESOME. I thought that I was going to have to paint it, but now have no thought of doing that. The casting is very crisp, little to no clean-up at all. The window treatment is very well done. In the future I will probably put some colored paper over the windows to act as sunshades as I have seen in photographs.

The dimensions are as follows: Height 14.5 cm, Length 4.8 cm, Width 4.3 cm. As you can see, the base is not a square but a rectangle. This is reflected in the number of "doors" at the base. The long side has three and the short, only two.

Two things of note. 1) Be careful of the black frames. I broke one off without noticing. Fortunately it was still in the box and so was anble to glue it back together.

If I have one complaint is that (2) the building is not completely squared. It has a slight helix spiral around the cental axis. Noticed this when I laid the stucture down to glue the broken frame. If you're not looking for it, you won't see it unless you are looking directly overhead.

All in all I am VERY pleased with the quality of the tower and Tarmac Designs products. I also purchased a LAX Terminal 8 (reviewed in its own section), VOR station, a "Glass" jet bridge and a set of blast fences. Happy with the quality of all of them.
